Home Remedies to Put Your Kid from Virus in 48 Hours

     1. A Detox Bath and Steam Therapy

The first and foremost step to remove the virus starts with a bathtub. All you need to do is to do a detox bath for your kid. You must be thinking, What is a Detox Bath?  Let me put it in simple language for you.

A detox bath is considered to be a natural technique to help in the removal of toxins from the body. Ingredients such as Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate), ginger, essential oils such as rosemary oil, peppermint oil, and carrier oil such as coconut or olive oil are mixed into warm water in the bathtub during a detox bath.

Detox baths can aid with cold symptoms by relaxing the body and relieving muscle aches and tightness. As per research, bathing in Epsom salt (Magnesium Sulphate) can increase the body's levels of magnesium. This, in turn, benefits your kid’s body and assists in the relaxation of the muscles and mind. [1]

The steaming effect produced in the bathroom can help your kid get rid of the nasal and chest congestion and thin the mucus ( the yellow substance) so that it flows out.

How to prepare an Epsom Salt Bath?

  • Fill your tub with warm water. As it fills, you can also add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and up to 5 drops of essential oil.
  • Once there’s enough water, add 2 spoons of Magnesium Salt. Use your foot or hand to move the water around to help dissolve the salt.
  • Give your child at least 15 minutes to 1 hour of bath in this water.

Word of Caution: Too much Magnesium Sulfate can cause itching and diarrhea in your child. So, make sure you do not put more than 2 tbsp. of Magnesium salt.

     2. Chicken Soup and Warm Liquids

Warm liquids can be very calming and can help in getting rid of congestion in kids. Scientists researched the ingredients in chicken soup and found that it is not a myth: this age-old treatment may help relieve cold symptoms including congestion and helps in releasing the yellow-colored bacterial material which is known as mucus. [2] The bone broth is an excellent choice for babies who are still adjusting to solid foods. Warm water, broth, and soup can be given to older babies and toddlers. Warm, not hot, liquids should be served.

You should feed chicken soup to your kids 2 times a day.

Apart from Chicken soup, you can feed your kids rice crackers, a little bit of rice, and some fresh homemade fruit juice in order to maintain the energy levels in the kids.

You can also feed your kids some rice and daal with some added natural antibacterial ingredients like 1 ginger, 1 garlic, a few cloves, and some dhaniya. If you still need guidance on the food options, you can follow my free kid's diet plan.

     3. Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is frequently used to treat skin wounds and keep small cuts and scrapes from becoming infected. Right? But you won't believe it has anti-bacterial and antiviral qualities that may assist with the common cold and its symptoms like ear pain. [3] When your child has a severe cold, he or she frequently complains about ear pain. This is where the Hydrogen Peroxide comes in handy as it removes the dirty wax from your ears which gets deposited in the ears over a period of time.

Hydrogen peroxide at a concentration of 3% does kill germs, including the majority of viruses and bacteria.

In order to relieve ear pain, you can place 2-3 drops of hydrogen peroxide in the ears thrice daily.

    A Bonus Tip

As of now, we know that boosting the immune system of our kids should be our priority. Vitamin D and multivitamins tend to increase the immunity of our kids. Because as parents we frequently struggle with feeding our children fruits and vegetables, adding coco d3 and smarty kids is the best choice to boost your child’s immunity with the taste of gummies.

    coco D3

Due to the addition of Raw Brown Sugar, these candies have the ability to provide kids with the necessary vitamins and minerals while also tasting wonderful

Use microfiber towels instead of paper napkins whenever your kid wants to sneeze out the yellow-colored mucus. Because the microfiber towels are very light and soft and do not cause a rash on the nose skin when one sneezes out the mucus over and over. Additionally, you can also apply the olive oil under your kid’s nose skin so that it doesn’t get dry and cause a rash.

Precautions to Take When Using these Home Remedies

    • When a child has a cold or cough, make sure they get at least 8 hours of sleep and that the infant gets 18 hours of sleep.
    • To prevent illnesses at this time, wash your hands frequently and those of your infant. Around 80% of illnesses are spread by touch.
    • Make sure that none of the ingredients you'll be utilizing in your homemade cure cause allergies in your child.
    • Make sure your home is clean so no one else gets sick. Disinfecting regularly used objects is a good idea.
    • Try to feed the infant warm liquids to hydrate him, assist clear the mucus from his system, and provide him respite from the cold.
